Efflorescence removal
That white, chalky haze on pavers can be cleaned off before sealing.
Efflorescence is mineral salt that moisture carries up through concrete pavers. When the water evaporates, the salt stays behind as a white film. It's common on newer pavers and after wet weather.
Sealing over it traps the haze, so it has to come off first. We clean it with a dedicated efflorescence cleaner, rinse thoroughly, and seal once the surface is right. Sealing afterward helps reduce how much comes back.
If your pavers are less than a year old, ask us about timing. Sometimes it's worth letting the first round of efflorescence finish before sealing.
