Paver care tips
Keep your sealed pavers looking good longer, and pick the right company when it is time.
Between seals
- Sweep or blow off debris regularly. Grit wears the sealer down.
- Rinse with a garden hose and mild soap. Skip high-pressure washing between seals, since it can blow out joint sand.
- Clean up oil, rust and fertilizer spills quickly before they soak in.
- Adjust sprinklers that spray onto pavers. Hard water leaves white spots over time.
- Plan on a reseal every two to three years, or when water stops beading on the surface.
Choosing a sealing company
- Check the contractor license and insurance. Ours: NV Lic. #0086437, licensed and insured.
- Ask exactly which sealer they use. Commercial-grade, water-based products last longer in our heat than cheap solvent sealers, which can peel and turn white.
- Make sure joint sanding is included, not an add-on.
- Get the quote in writing and read recent reviews.
- Watch out for similar company names. There's only one Paver Sealing Vegas.
